Título: Spin current pumped by magnetization precession

When a ferromagnetic unit is in contact with a non-magnetic metal and its magnetization is set into precession, a transfer of angular momentum to the conduction electrons may occur, creating a spin disturbance that propagates through the normal metal. We use linear response theory to explore some aspects of the spin disturbance that emanates from a precessing magnetic moment embedded in a non-magnetic metallic host and propagates through the system. To illustrate our approach and explore some aspects and characteristics of this phenomenon, we examine transition metal atom impurities enbedded in linear chains and in a single wall carbon nanotube.
