Resumo: A tiny photon anomalous paramagnetic moment arises due to its interaction with the magnetized virtual electron-positron background, Its value is polarization-dependent. Low and high frequency limits are found. It is shown
that in the region beyond the first threshold, where observable photons may decay in electron-positron pairs, for magnetic fields large enough, the vacuum becomes unstable and may also decay.
