titulo :Neutron transfer reactions induced by 18O on 28Si: progress report
Resumo :Transfer reactions is a suitable tool to study aspects of the nuclear structure and, in particular, can be exploited to accurately determine the nuclear matrix elements which is a important ingredient for the search of the neutrinoless double beta decay in some nuclei. In the case of one-nucleon transfer the single-particle nature of nuclear states are probed whereas in the two-nucleon transfer provides some hints on the correlation forces in nuclear medium. Detailed informations are hindered into the differential cross sections of the particular transfer channel which, in turn, are sensitive to the spectroscopic amplitudes and to their phases.
To access such information the reaction mechanisms must be treated properly. Moreover, when dealing with heavy ions, one have to consider reliable effective optical potentials, the finite size of nuclei and recoil effects in order to disentangle the projectile and the target informations. In [1] it has been shown that these requirements can be fullfilled and differential cross sections for 12C(18O,16O)14C were nicely reproduced.
A systematic study of neutron transfer reaction towards heavier system is current under analysis. In this progress report I will present final experimental results for the 1n an 2n-transfer reaction on 28Si target.
