O Jurgen está recebendo como visitante por uns dias aqui no IF o professor Thomas Prellberg, da School of Mathematical Sciences do Queen Mary University of London. Ele veio por intermédio do Programa Visitante Especial (PVE) do CNPq.

TITULO: An overview of polymer sampling methods

RESUMO: I shall present a brief review of general polymer sampling methods. In particular, I will focus on sampling algorithms that are based on stochastic growth methods, and review modern extensions of these algorithms that are capable of uniform sampling across a whole range of temperatures in one simulation. I will focus on sampling of extreme configurations of polymers in simple lattice models, with applications to polymer collapse near sticky surfaces and models of protein folding.
