Transport and magnetic properties of superconductor/ferromagnet nanocomposites
Yutao Xing
In this talk I will present experimental results of superconductor(SC)/ferromagnet(FM) nanocomposites. We prepared samples with Co magnetic nanoparticles (~ 5 nm) embedded in different superconducting matrices (Pb and Si) and SC/FM (Nb/Co) multilayers. In Pb/Co samples we found the Co particles induced spontaneous vortices and it has a phase transition from vortex glass to vortex liquid with increasing temperature or external magnetic field. In Bi/Co samples, with increase of Co volume fraction, the Bi films changes from metalic behavior to insulator-like behavior at normal state and there is still a superconducting transition at Tc. I will also present the result of SC/FM multilayers and the result of the latest work which has been done at IF-UFF
